Services: Educational Outreach

A primary goal of our Educational Outreach is to teach the public about issues that affect, and challenges that face, individuals with developmental disabilities. We are also interested in speaking about our impact in the community and the ways we work with our partners to build stronger communities.

Mainstay Life Services offers group presentations on a variety of topics and we tailor our presentation to the group’s interests and needs. Topics may include:

  • The nature of developmental disabilities and the benefits of including persons with disabilities in the community.
  • Transitioning from home to community living.
  • Prader-Willi Syndrome.
  • How including individuals with developmental disabilities can build stronger neighborhoods.

Our outreach speakers are made up of a combination of board members, staff members, and individuals who receive our supports. All presenters have received training and education to present information on behalf of our agency. We use a team-speaking approach, meaning two or three speakers work together in giving the presentation.

If your group is interested in a presentation, Contact Us and include "Educational Outreach" in the message text along with your group's name, your name (as a contact person), phone number, and address. We will contact you to discuss your areas of interest, make arrangements, and send any additional information needed.
